Shipping Policy

Reptile Shipping

All geckos are shipped exclusively via FedEx Express Overnight to ensure the fastest and safest transit possible. We charge a flat rate shipping cost of $65 for all reptile orders. To protect your animal from unpredictable temperatures or extended time on a delivery truck, we strongly prefer shipping to your nearest FedEx Customer Center for pickup.

You must be available to accept the shipment immediately upon arrival. We cannot provide a Live Arrival Guarantee if the shipment is left outside or not picked up from a facility promptly.

Axolotl Shipping

Axolotls are shipped via UPS or USPS unless otherwise specified or requested. We package all orders with insulation and ice packs to ensure a safe journey. Please note that if temperatures at the delivery location are below 40°F or above 92°F, the live arrival guarantee is voided.

If you choose to ship when temperatures are outside of this range, we highly suggest having the package held at your local facility for pickup. We ship live axolotl orders Monday through Wednesday each week; orders placed Friday through Sunday will ship the following week to allow for proper fasting. Two-day shipping does not include a Live Guarantee, and we strongly suggest choosing Overnight Shipping at checkout.

Axolotls can only be shipped within the Legal US states, excluding CA, ME, NJ, and DC. Orders from illegal states will be cancelled. 

HI, NM and PR require an import permit and this will be requested from you prior to shipping your purchase.

Live Arrival Guarantee & DOA Policy

We do everything in our power to ensure your new animal arrives safe and healthy. In the rare event of a Dead On Arrival (DOA) for either a reptile or axolotl shipment, you must follow these guidelines for a replacement or credit:

  1. The DOA must be reported within 2 hours of the recorded delivery time.

  2. Clear photos of the package and the animal inside the shipping container must be provided at the time of contact.

  3. Please include your order number, contact name, and shipping address in your email.
