Adult Female Angularis Gecko (Phelsuma laticauda angularis)
We are offering an adult female Angularis gecko that is over a year and a half old. This beautiful female has laid eggs previously, though she has never been with a male. While she is a stunning example of her subspecies, pictures truly do not do her justice. She is well-established and would make an excellent addition to a display tank or a future breeding project.
The Angularis gecko, also known as the Angulated Day Gecko, is a unique subspecies of the popular gold dust day gecko. They are easily distinguished by the irregular, v-shaped marking on their lower back that points toward the head, which is different from the three separate teardrop markings found on the standard gold dust day gecko. They are a smaller species, typically reaching about 4 to 4.5 inches in total length. These geckos are diurnal, meaning they are active during the day, and they are known for their bright green coloration, blue-edged eyelids, and gold-speckled necks.
Proper care for these geckos involves a tropical habitat with plenty of vertical climbing space. They thrive in well-planted, humid environments and are best viewed as display animals rather than pets for handling, as their skin is quite delicate. Because they are active and bold, they are a favorite among keepers who enjoy watching natural behaviors like hunting and basking in a bioactive setup.
